What is The Blueprint?+
The Blueprint by Project Limitless is a one-time mental performance program for youth athletes, created by Matt Fornataro, a former professional hockey player who coaches NHL, NFL, and PGA Tour athletes. It combines the Mindset Index, an age-adjusted assessment that measures an athlete's mindset level, with guided training the athlete runs themselves: the Personal Standard, the Reset Button, MAMBA, and a daily habit tracker, plus a personalized Parent Playbook. The Blueprint costs $399.99 one time, with no subscription, and includes unlimited retakes.
What is the Mindset Index?+
The Mindset Index is Project Limitless's assessment of where an athlete's mindset is right now versus their peak self. The questions are written for the athlete's age, and the result is a level from 1 to 6 with the factors carrying or holding them. It measures a state that trains, and athletes retake it to see the movement, because the movement between two results is the proof the work is paying off.
How is this different from a personality test?+
Personality tests sort your kid into a box and leave them there. The Mindset Index measures a state, not a trait: where their mindset is right now versus their peak self. It moves, they retake it, and the whole point is watching it climb.
Is this safe for a young athlete?+
Consent comes first, always: you create the account, you approve everything, and under 13 you enroll them yourself, one at a time. Questions are written for their age, and there's no leaderboard anywhere on the platform.
Who sees the results?+
You and your athlete. If they're part of a partner organization, their coach sees a read-only picture built to help them coach, never to cut or rank. Nobody gets benched or labeled by a number, and we put that in writing with every organization we work with.
What if my athlete doesn't want to do this?+
Don't force it. The honesty check will flag a phoned-in assessment and we'll ask them to retake it. If they're not ready, wait a month. We'd rather have real data later than rushed data now.
How is my kid's data protected?+
Kids' data never lands in front of the wrong eyes. Parent consent gates everything, results are never used against the athlete, and every comparison on the platform is your kid against their own peak self.
How long does the assessment take?+
One sitting, untimed, at their own pace. Skipped questions come back at the end, and progress saves if they step away.
How often can they retake it?+
As often as the work deserves it. Retakes are unlimited and included for life, and the Parent Playbook updates with every one.
Is this a replacement for a sports psychologist?+
No. A sports psychologist is the right call for clinical concerns like anxiety or depression, and the Blueprint is not therapy. It's a structured mental training program: measure the mindset, train it daily, retest. Many families start here because it's measurable and self-paced, and if anything in the results suggests your kid needs more, see a licensed professional.
What if it doesn't deliver?+
If your kid's first report doesn't show you something about them you've never seen, tell us and you don't pay. That's the same promise we make to every organization we work with.
